Adam Cyr is a communicator with nearly ten years of experience working in the veteran and international space. Adam has planned events and conferences, worked in the digital media space and engaged corporate, non-profit, and government partners.
At Powell Strategies, Adam supports the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service’s Off Base Transition Training Pilot. He focuses on communicating the expanded access and opportunities available to veterans, the Guard and Reserve, and their spouses.
Before joining Powell Strategies, Adam support the Department of Defense Military-Civilian Transition Office (MCTO) as a Senior Engagement Specialist, Strategic Communications Lead, and contractor Team Lead. He managed six contractors and assisted the Director of Private and Public Engagement as an interface and liaison between MCTO, federal interagency partners, state agency partners, private sector companies, technical and trade schools, and universities and colleges interested in hiring, training, mentoring, and educating transitioning service members. Additionally, Adam’s experience includes providing strategic communication support to the United States Agency for International Development (USAD) Office of American Schools and hospitals abroad.
Adam holds a B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina State University and a M.S. in Public Relations from Syracuse University.
