Sandra Perez is a strategic communications and marketing professional with more than a decade of experience in crisis communications, digital marketing, employee engagement, corporate citizenship, and audience insights. Sandra oversees service delivery at Powell Strategies, managing client portfolios and providing strategic guidance to Federal clients.
Prior to joining Powell Strategies, Sandra served as Vice President of Communications at LMI. As a member of the company’s senior leadership team, she was responsible for strategic communications, marketing, external relations, corporate citizenship, and editorial and research services.
Prior to joining LMI, Sandra held leadership positions in two fast-growing small businesses specializing in strategic communications and community engagement in commercial and public sectors. She led company operations and consulting projects for the District of Columbia, USAID, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Defense. Sandra developed crisis communications strategies for Fortune 50 companies in the digital crisis practice of Burson Cohn Wolfe, the world’s largest communications firm.
Sandra earned both a bachelor’s degree in political communication and a master’s in global communication in international affairs at the George Washington University where she also managed media productions for several offices at the university, and was a production assistant for a variety of national news and television networks such as Reuters and American Public Television.

The small businesses in this group represent a total of $240M in revenues and over 3,000 jobs from a broad range of industries.
