Elysa Marchicelli is a Prosci® Certified Change Management Practitioner (CCMP) with 10 years of experience in creating and deploying strategic marketing and communications plans to effectively drive change and information technology (IT) transformation efforts.
As a management consultant, Elysa has worked on high-profile projects for the federal government focused on IT, healthcare transformation and innovation, value management, and organizational change management. She provided technical communications support for one of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ largest enterprise initiatives: Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM), a multibillion-dollar effort to overhaul and modernize the agency’s electronic health record (EHR) system. She has also managed and supported projects with various technical teams including, technology operations, IT infrastructure development, data migration, cybersecurity, and data protection.
With Powell Strategies, Elysa provides strategic communications support for the VHA Strategic Policy Council and Strategic Communications Services project with the VHA Office of Policy and Planning.
Elysa started her career in professional services and worked as a consultant for structural engineering and business management consulting firms. She was an active member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), DC chapter, where she led multiple workshops, organized community events, and won first place for the SMPS Excellence in Marketing and Communications Award.
Elysa earned her B.S. in Business, Marketing from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, and a specialization in High Impact Business Writing from University of California, Irvine. Prior to her undergraduate studies, she completed international business and leadership studies at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, and University of Cape Town, South Africa.
