Caitlin leads the communication analysis department at Powell Strategies and has a wide breadth of experience working with clients in the federal, private, and nonprofit sectors.
Since joining Powell Strategies, Caitlin has managed projects concentrating on planning and analyzing communication through data analysis. With social listening and media analysis, Caitlin helps clients within the Department of Defense in defining reputation measurement, navigating crisis communication and advising overall strategy. She believes every data set has a story to tell and it is our job to uncover it.
Caitlin is passionate about advancing the use of data in communications and is a member of NASA’s Datanauts 2016 class. She remains an active member of this initiative to advance interdisciplinary data science, and has also lectured to groups at the Defense Information School.
Prior to joining Powell Strategies, Caitlin worked as an associate at Berman and Company, concentrating on development and communication planning for high profile nonprofit and private sector clients.
Outside of the office, Caitlin spends most of her time on the ice coaching synchronized skating teams at DC EDGE. In addition to coaching, she also skates competitively and won the US Figure Skating National Championship with the team in 2017.
Caitlin earned her B.A. in both Political Science and Strategic Communication from Miami University and studied International Relations at the London School of Economics.
